Assetto Corsa Competizione is the successor to the 2014's racing simulator titled Assetto Corsa. The minigame was developed by Kunos Simulazioni and is the official video app based on the license of Blancpain GT races organized by SRO Motorsports Group.
Assetto Corsa Competizione, similarly to its predecessor, is a full-fledged simulator. The developers tried to do their best with representing the Blancpain GT races. The car handling system is affected by multiple elements – from traction and electronic stability control through suspension and engine to machine's aerodynamics and actual weather conditions. All the elements have been developed based on the data gathered from true vehicles. The app allows users to adjust some of the elements, including the artificial intelligence lvl and car handling, allowing less experienced users to make playing easier.
Assetto Corsa Competizione delivers vehicles of such brands as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren. Since the minigame is based on an official license, users obtain to drive on true tracks, within current squads and competing with true drivers.
Interestingly enough, the minigame helps various controllers – from regular pads to professional steering wheels.
The app offers few diversified single user modes. One can enjoy the elaborate carrier, participate in championships and unique challenges, as well as test out the Gratis Play mode. Moreover, the minigame also features a multiplayer mode with a unique ranking system that grades individual skills and their behavior on the racing track. This is how the developers wish to promote fair-play guidelines.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is based on the famous Unreal Engine 4 technology, which allowed the developers to translate popular tracks and cars into the app with info. Moreover, the app features also 10 weather conditions and drivers who act in a very realistic method. Their movements were recorded during motion capture sessions.
